Bulgarian Society of Neurology (Europe)

The Bulgarian Society of Neurology is a corporation with scientific and practical goals. During the recent years, the Society was concentrated mainly on the organization of national events. This led to a decrease within the interest in participation among our colleagues. In fact, the Society should be aiming for much higher goals. The Society must undertake the goal of acquiring the right position it deserves among the opposite scientific societies, nationally and abroad, also because the local communities. The Bulgarian Society of Neurology should become the organization to steer the politics within the field of neurology and healthcare. to realize these goals, the management is taking over the subsequent priority tasks:

  • Establishment of local structures of the Society. Each of those structures is to perform individual scientific activity. it'll protect the interests of the neurologists and can present potential problems to the management.
  • Organization of ongoing training for the neurologists, consistent with the ecu standards. Leading role during this direction should be undertaken by local organizations.
  • Organization of coaching for the overall practitioners. they have to be familiar with the neurological diseases, to acknowledge the necessity of a timely consultation with a neurologist.
  • Strengthening the ties with other European neurological societies. Organization of collaborative scientific events will allow us to become more conversant in the practices of our colleagues from different European countries.
  • To present the issues and issues to the health institutions to enhance the working conditions of the neurologists.

I sincerely hope that we will increase the role of the Society and make it attractive for each neurologist to participate in.
